Tennessee's Favorite Dance Crew Contest

I agree to the following terms and conditions of the Tennessee's Favorite Dance Crew Contest sponsored by the Tennessee Association of Dance (TAD). By checking each box below, I affirm my agreement with these terms and conditions. My signature at the bottom of this application acknowledges my acceptance of these terms. All statements must be checked to have a valid entry into this contest. Any entrant under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign at the bottom of this application.

Participation and Permissions

*1. I confirm I have obtained signed permission forms from parents/guardians of all underage performers participating in this event.

*2. I grant Tennessee Association of Dance (TAD) permission to use my video submission as part of the Tennessee's Favorite Dance Crew contest. This includes permission for TAD to use my video and/or clips from it to promote both the contest and TAD by reposting to their social media and sharing it with traditional and non-traditional media outlets. I also grant permission to use still images of me and/or my group for promotional purposes.

*3. I retain ownership of my original choreography, but grant TAD a non-exclusive license to use, display, and distribute the performance as outlined above.

Liability and Technical Issues

*4. I and my dance team/group hold Tennessee Association of Dance, Barker-Christol Marketing and Advertising, Dragon Digital, Be Present, LLC, their employees and representatives (collectively "Contest Parties") harmless from any liability for damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by entrant(s) as a result of participating in this contest.

*5. I understand Contest Parties are not responsible for technical difficulties related to computer equipment, online systems, servers, service providers or software involved in the application process or contest operation. Contest Parties do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and I acknowledge service may be suspended temporarily without notice due to system maintenance or technical issues.

Privacy and Data

*6. I understand that my personal information will be used solely for the purposes of administering this contest and will not be sold or shared with third parties. TAD will take reasonable measures to protect contestant information, but cannot guarantee absolute security of electronic data.

Contest Operation

*7. I acknowledge that winners will be announced on social and traditional media platforms. I give permission to share my name, photo, and the name of my studio, company, school or other organization that I represent.

*8. I understand that in the event of a tie, there will be a run-off competition lasting one additional week.

*9. I agree to help promote the competition through my social media channels and personal networks.

*10. I acknowledge that TAD reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who fails to comply with all rules, terms and conditions; submits an incomplete entry; provides content deemed inappropriate or unsuitable for a family audience; or engages in unsportsmanlike or disruptive behavior. This includes tampering with the voting process, harassment, threats, or conducting negative campaigns against the competition or other contestants.

Cancellation and Refunds

*11. I understand that entry fees are non-refundable, but provide one year of TAD membership beginning on the date of registration.

*12. In the event the competition must be modified or canceled due to circumstances beyond TAD's control, TAD will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements.

Communication

*13. I consent to receive email communications from TAD regarding this contest and future events. (Optional)

Governing Law

*14. These terms and any disputes arising from this contest shall be governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
